Salonika Chicken (pictured) and Goat Shrimp will be the two featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Sept. 18 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Greka: Baked feta cheese with sautéed whole garlic, assorted olives, roasted red peppers, scallions, rosemary, and lemon peel with whole wheat pita chips.
- Janice’s Kale Salad: Shredded kale, carrots, peppadew peppers, green onions, mushrooms, craisins, and roasted almonds, tossed in a creamy honey Dijon dressing
- Salonika Chicken: Italian sausage, mushrooms, pepperoncinis, garlic, capers, and pine nuts over breast of chicken in orange brandy and white wine
- Goat Shrimp: Bacon-wrapped jumbo shrimp with feta and sun-dried tomato stuffing. Served with sauteed vegetables, garlic, lemon and herbs
- Chocolate Dipped Florentines
