We finally have an opening date for Zinburger in downtown Gilbert. Sam Fox’s gourmet burger and wine bar will open Monday, Oct. 27.
The prolific Phoenix-based restaurateur operates 24 eateries encompassing 15 different concepts in seven states, but only two – Sauce Pizza & Wine in Mesa and Chandler – in the East Valley.
He debuted the Zinburger concept in Tucson in 2007. There now are four locations – two in Tucson, one in Phoenix, and one in Scottsdale.
Located on the northwest corner of Gilbert and Vaughn, the Gilbert Zinburger promises “master-crafted burgers, fresh sides and salads, decadent milkshakes and perfectly paired wines and craft beers” (see the Phoenix menu).
The 5,600-square-foot restaurant and patio will seat 197 people. It will be open for lunch and dinner daily.
No opening dates yet for the other restaurants – Pomo Cucina & Pizzeria, Barrio Queen and Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles – joining Zinburger at Gilbert’s new Heritage Marketplace.
