My thanks to MXSW reader Kelsey Wharton, who gave me the heads-up that Delice Bistro, a European-inspired bakery and restaurant, opened today on the northwest corner of Mill and Seventh in downtown Tempe.
Delice shares a building with the recently opened Zipps Sports Grill, next to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. The 3,000-square-foot-space has its own patio.
Comparing itself to a French bakery, Delice bakes all its bread and pastries from scratch.
Breakfast options include Belgian waffles and French crepes, along with an espresso bar and a juice bar. For lunch and dinner, sandwiches and panini range from $5.95-$8.95.
Delice does not have a liquor license, but does sell its own line of French fine chocolates, similar to Godiva.
Delice is open 7 a.m.-10 p.m. daily. Sometime next month, it plans to stay open until 2:30 a.m. on weekends.
