The Brass Tap in Mesa hosts Lagunitas ‘Steal the Glass’ event today

Check out Lagunitas Brewing’s Censored – a beer banned by the federal government – when The Brass Tap in Mesa hosts a “Steal the Glass” event with the California brewery today.

Originally called the Kronik, the amber ale (6.7%) was flagged by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which claimed the name was a marijuana reference.

In response, Lagunitas slapped “Censored” stickers across the bottle labels.

Censored will be one of two Lagunitas beers on tap today, along with its IPA. Rep Nickolas Reyes will be handing out swag.

The Brass Tap also will be pouring a Randall version of Censored infused with hemp seeds.

The fun starts, appropriately enough, at 4:20 p.m.
