Ravioli Euro Paeus (pictured) and Risi Bisi con Milanesa will be the two featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Oct. 9 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Mezzogiorno: Roasted red peppers, peas, artichoke hearts, and fresh mozzarella cheese in a pesto Dijon vinaigrette.
- Antipasto Salad: Genoa salami, ham capicola, pepperoni, Swiss and provolone cheeses, and fresh and marinated vegetables on a bed of lettuce with Italian dressing.
- Ravioli Euro Paeus: Cheese ravioli, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, asparagus, peperoncinis, basil, and sunflower seeds in a white wine cheese sauce.
- Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Brown rice, black beans, Peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, and peas cooked in chicken broth, lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, parsley-cilantro salad, lemon wedges.
- Satin Bondage: Layers of toasted almond sponge cake soaked in Amaretto with coconut, white chocolate, cream cheese icing, Malibu rum, and a hint of fresh lime.
