As is becoming the norm lately, this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner on Thursday was an early sell out.
The dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight five items from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Cost is $25 per person, and you can add five wine tastings for another $10.

There is some good news: There still are seats available at Romeo’s monthly “3rd Tuesday” dinner, which features all-new dishes from the kitchen crew paired with wines selected by the cafe’s knowledgable servers.
Oct. 21 “3rd Tuesday” menu:
- Kale! Meat! Beet!: Rainbow kale, craisins, carrots, green onions, papadew peppers, celery, creamy honey-Dijon dressing, roasted beets and herbed goat cheese napoleon, spicy chicken and roasted almonds. (Paired with VOGA Italia Premium Sparkling)
- Braised Veal Short Rib: Veal short rib, mashed potatoes, shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, panzu radish sprouts and cilantro. (Paired with Lucca Vino Rosso di Santa Barbara)
- Milk Chocolate mousse cake (Paired with Ventura Limoncello)
The three-course dinner with pairings is $30 and starts at 6:30 p.m. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
