Perfect Pear Bistro, the popular Ahwatukee eatery that opened in September 2013, has opened a second location on the northeast corner of Priest and Ray in south Tempe.
Owners Chris and Laura Hove are no strangers to the business. They opened more than 30 restaurants in four states before finally launching their own concept.
The menu features seasonal dishes made with local ingredients, starting with 11 appetizers $5-$8.50), eight kinds of bruschetta (two for $9) and nine salads ($9).
Nine pasta dishes range from rigatoni in a chipotle-tomato cream sauce to cavatappi in a green chile cheese sauce topped with bacon (all $11).
The signature Perfectly Grilled Cheese with arugula and bacon on spiced pear bread ($9 with side) headlines a dozen sandwiches.
Happy hour, which runs 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, includes $2.50 domestic beers, $3.50 craft beers, and $5 glasses of all wines. There’s a small selection of tapas ($2-$4).
Perfect Pear is open for lunch and dinner daily.
