If you’re heading down to Tucson for the first-ever Baja Oktoberfest on Saturday, you may want to make a weekend of it.
Tap & Bottle, a popular craft beer bar and bottle shop in downtown Tucson, is hosting an all-Arizona tap takeover starting at 5 p.m. Friday.
Twenty special kegs will include Historic‘s Nooks and Crannies cranberry spice ale, The Perch‘s new Butternut Molasses Amber, and Iron John‘s Imperial Bitter on Cask.
Baja Oktoberfest, which will feature all the Tucson breweries as well as many others around the state, makes its debut 5-10 p.m. Saturday at the Kino Sports Complex.
Besides more than 150 beers from 60-plus breweries, there’ll be a half-dozen Tucson food trucks and live music “with a German flare.”
Baja Oktoberfest is the third fest from the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild, which already produces the Arizona Strong Beer Festival and Real, Wild & Woody – arguably the state’s top two beer festivals.
Tickets are $45 for general admission (15 samples) or $75 for VIP (20 samples and early entry at 4 p.m.). You can buy them here.
Proceeds will benefit Tu Nidito, a non-profit that supports children impacted by serious medical conditions and death.
