About 25 people signed up for SanTan Brewing‘s first food pairing class – sausage and beer – Monday night at the downtown Chandler brewpub. The evening featured seven types of sausage made by SanTan chef Dennis Martinez paired with seven SanTan beers.
First course:Â Andouille sausage and SunSpot Gold
Second course: Curry chicken sausage and HefeWeizen
Third course: Traditional German bratwurst and Oktoberfest
Fourth course: Smoked Polish sausage and Epicenter Amber
Fifth course: Spicy Italian sausage and Devil’s Ale
Sixth course: Blue cheese-stuffed sausage and HopShock IPA
Seventh course: Espresso-rubbed red-eye sausage and Gordo Stout. (I almost forgot to take a photo!)
SanTan’s next food pairing class will be cheese and beer in December, followed by chocolate and beer in February. Details TBA.
