New brewpub Beer Research Institute to open Nov. 17 next to AMC Mesa Grand

Beer Research Institute, Mesa’s second brewery, will open Monday, Nov. 17, co-founder Matt Trethewey announced today.

The brewpub is located next to the AMC Mesa Grand theaters on the southeast corner of Stapley and U.S. 60.

The soft opening will feature Mjango Unchained, Beer Research’s collaboration with OHSO, and 14 guest craft beers.

By the grand opening on Saturday, Nov. 29, Trethewey and partner Greg Sorrels will have three more of their own beers on tap: Lolli (Belgian blonde), War Paint (red IPA), and Vanilla Porter.

Unlike Desert Eagle, Mesa’s first brewery, BRI will serve food.
