The Cove Grill, a small but well-liked neighborhood hangout in south Chandler, has closed on the southwest corner of Gilbert and Chandler Heights.
The restaurant, well-hidden behind a drug store, opened in January 2010 as The Boatzhouse, named for owner Dave Boatz.
It was renamed The Cove Grill when employees Breanna and Robert Tomfohr took over ownership in June 2010.
According to the restaurant’s website, the Tomfohrs decided to close because their lease was up.
