A planned 10-day closure to expand the kitchen turned into a two-month nightmare for Yoli’s Cafe in Chandler. Fortunately, it’s finally over.

Chef Yolanda “Yoli” Fernandez and husband Rick Scott reopened their award-winning restaurant at 7 this morning.

Yoli’s had closed Oct. 7 to install four new burners and three more feet of griddle space in order to accommodate its growing weekend brunch rush.

During the closure, though, thieves stole parts of the grill, necessitating several fundraisers to buy a new grill. And then there was contractor problems…

Anyway, Yoli’s is back to its regular hours – 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day.
