Talk about hair of the dog: House of Brews in Gilbert will kick off the new year by adding breakfast seven days a week.
It’s just one of several changes announced by the Gilbert neighborhood bar and grill. Also on tap are new hours, new weekly specials, and new weekly/monthly craft beer events.
Beginning Thursday, breakfast will start at 8 a.m. daily. The highlight will be a “free” breakfast – two eggs, sausage, and potatoes – when you purchase a $7 adult beverage.
Feeling more than a little carnivorous? You can add bacon ($2), a pork chop ($5), pork belly ($5), or a New York strip steak ($7).
The rest of the breakfast menu:
- Breakfast burrito: Scrambled eggs, chorizo, green chilies, cheddar, Monterey Jack salsa, and potatoes ($8)
- Breakfast sandwich: Scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato
, bacon mayo, sourdough, and potatoes ($8)
- Ham & cheese omelet: Fire-braised ham, cheddar, Monterey Jack, and potatoes ($9)
- Biscuits & gravy: Biscuits, country gravy, and two eggs your way ($9)
- Veggie omelet:
Roasted tomato, spinach, mushrooms, red bell pepper,
cheddar, Monterey Jack, and potatoes ($9)
New weekly specials, available now unless noted, include:
- Monday: All-day happy hour
- Tuesday: Weekly beer class at 6:30 p.m. (starts Jan. 7)
- Wednesday: Live trivia from 7-9 p.m. with $1 off featured beer of the day
- Thursday: Ladies Night and Locals Only with half-priced wine and $4 local craft beers all day
- Friday and Saturday: Live music from 8-11 p.m.
- Sunday: $15 craft beer buckets
Also, beginning in January, HOB will highlight a craft brewery each month with a tap takeover early in the month, followed by a beer dinner later in the month.
First up will be Sierra Nevada, with the tap takeover Jan. 13 and the beer dinner Jan. 27. More on those next week…
