Shrimp Bartolome and Risi Bisi con Milanesa will be the two featured entrees at this week’s “Taste of Romeo’s Euro Cafe†dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, highlight a rotating selection from the Gilbert restaurant’s regular menu.
Jan. 8 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu
- Spicy Lamb Potatoes: Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices. Hand-formed and deep fried.
- JaniceÂ’’s Kale Salad:
- Shrimp Bartolome: Fresh tomatoes, artichoke hearts, cherry peppers, and green onions in a white wine, feta cheese light sauce, zucchini ribbons with a grain mustard-pesto savory streusel, chimichuri shrimp skewers.
- Risi Bisi con Milanesa: Brown rice, black beans, peppadew peppers, hominy, onions, and peas cooked in chicken broth, lightly breaded pan-fried pork cutlets, parsley-cilantro salad, lemon wedges.
- Mocha Espresso Brownies: Rich chocolaty brownies spiked with Greek coffee, Kahlua, and walnuts (pictured)
Cost is $25 per person, and you can add five wine tastings for another $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
