Husband & wife launch Rise Up Bakery, specializing in breads, in Gilbert

Rise Up Bakery, a husband-and-wife-operated business, has opened in Gilbert Tuscany Village on the northeast corner of Higley and Guadalupe.

Owners Jay and Danielle Lunt (pictured) owned a successful bakery in Las Vegas for nearly 10 years. After living in the Valley for 11 years, they are returning to what they love.

“We missed being in the bakery everyday and seeing the faces of our customers enjoying what we baked,” Jay Lunt says. “Our goal is to create something both beautiful and delicious using simple ingredients.”

Rise Up’s specialty is bread, which is made from scratch every day with all natural ingredients.

Varieties include Whole Wheat & Honey, Hard-Crusted French Country, Black Russian Rye, Jalapeño Cheddar Swirl, Five Seed, Blueberry Peach Round, Apple Cinnamon Swirl, and Chocolate Babka.

Rise Up also offers cookies, brownies, bars, muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, and granola.

The bakery is open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
