The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.
Feb. 12 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Greka: Baked feta cheese with sautéed whole garlic, olives, roasted red peppers, scallions, rosemary, and lemon peel with whole wheat pita chips.
- Ravioli Salad: Deep-fried cheese-filled ravioli mixed with black olives, bell peppers,tomatoes, Genoa salami, hearts of palm, peas, red onions, and mustard vinaigrette dressing.
- Chicken Spanaki: Chicken breast, spinach, ricotta, feta, and mozzarella baked in savory marinara.
- Pasta Rustica: Mild Italian sausage and shrimp with zucchini, mushrooms, and sweet red peppers in basil-pesto cream with ziti.
- German’s Chocolate Brownies: Dense brownies with chocolate and pecans, topped with coconut.
Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $27 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP:Â 480-962-4224.
