SanTan Brewing kicks off annual Chimi Week today with green chile pork chimi

In conjunction with Arizona Beer Week, the downtown Chandler brewpub is offering a special chimichanga every day, each with a suggested craft beer pairing:

  • AZBeerWeek2015Today: Green chile pork with green chile enchilada sauce, Monterey jack cheese, and sour cream (suggested beer pairing: Ivanhoe White IPA)
  • Tuesday: Al pastor pineapple and red chile marinated grilled pork with guacamole, cilantro,onions, pineapple pico de gallo, habanero sauce, and Monterey jack (Mr. Pineapple)
  • Wednesday: Carne asada beef with guacamole, cilantro, onion, Spanish rice, pinto beans, roasted tomato salsa, cheddar, and Monterey jack (Epicenter Amber)
  • Thursday: Jerk chicken with white rice, black beans, habanero sauce, and Tastee Cheese (Experimental IPA 06300)
  • Friday: Carne molido with seasoned ground beef, jalapeño, pepper jack, bacon, cream cheese, green chile cream sauce, mixed cheese, and guacamole (Gargoyle IPA)
  • Saturday: Adovado pork braised in red chile sauce with cheddar, Monterey jack, red chile sauce, mixed cheese, and sour cream (Devil’s Ale)

The chimis are $12.95 and include a side of refried rattlesnake beans (refried charro beans with jalapeño, onion, bacon, and rattlesnake beans).
