Randall Tap Takeover at The Brass Tap
So what’s a Randall? It’s a double-chamber filter you connect to a tap of your favorite beer and fill with flavor-enhancing ingredients. Every week, The Brass Tap at Mesa Riverview “Randalls” a selected beer, but at 6 p.m. today the craft beer bar is hosting Arizona’s first Randall Tap Takeover with an incredible 10 Randalls in action. Enjoy Four Peaks Hopknot IPA infused with honeycomb and habanero, SanTan Mr. Pineapple with rum-soaked cherries and coconut, Borderlands Noche Dulce vanilla porter with Whoppers (the candy, not the burgers), and seven other creative concoctions (see list).
Ska Burlesque Show at Yucca Tap Room
For the third straight year, the Yucca Tap Room joins forces with Breezi and the Deviant Dames for a Ska Burlesque Show from 8-11:30 tonight at the Tempe bar. Ska Brewing beers on special for $3: Modus Hoperandi, Rudie Session IPA, Blonde Ale, and Pinstripe Reds. Also, the western Colorado brewery’s Dementia pale ale will be available in bottles, along with its Cru d’etat sour. After the burlesque show, the 2Tone Lizard Kings will play.
Ninkasi founder at Spokes on Southern
Jamie Floyd, the founder of Ninkasi Brewing, will be at a meet and greet from 4-6 p.m. today at Spokes on Southern in Tempe. He’ll have four of his Eugene, Ore., brewery’s ales on tap: Dawn of the Red IRA, Total Domination IPA, Expo 58 golden ale, and Vanilla Oatis stout. Pints/pours will be $2.50 all night.
Beer and Brats tasting at SunUp Brewing
Beer and brats will be the focus at SunUp Brewing today. The Phoenix brewpub is teaming up with Scottsdale’s Brat Haus for a tasting of three mini brats with three 6-ounce beers for $10 from 4 p.m.-close. At 6:30, brewer Uwe Boer and a Brat Haus rep will discuss what makes beer and brats such a perfect combo.
Saddle Mountain to tap Westside saison
Saddle Mountain Brewing in Goodyear taps its Westside collaboration beer, a saison with bitter oranges and lemon peel brewed with Freak’N, 8-Bit, and Dubina, today. As part of Westside Wednesday, there also will be specials on wings, wine, whiskey, wraps, and wit beer from 3-7 p.m. Anyone who wears a wicked wig will get their first two beers (any style) for $2.50 each.
