Sal’s Gilbert Pizza to appear on Food Network’s ‘Diners, Drive-ins and Dives’ on Friday

The Guy Fieri-hosted Food Network show will feature the restaurant, located on Gilbert Road south of Warner, this Friday in an episode dubbed ‘‘Roadtrippin’.’’

Longtime readers know I’m a big fan of the pizzeria’s Baked Ziti Pizza – a cheese pizza topped with ziti in a pink sauce (pictured above).

On March 7, an all-Arizona episode of ‘‘DD&D’’ will spotlight Andreoli Italian Grocer and Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley Burger Company.

The Wild Thaiger in Phoenix will appear in the March 13 episode.
