Craft 64, a wood-fired pizzeria, craft beer bar, and wine lounge in Old Town Scottsdale, had its soft opening over the weekend, and now is open to the public at 11 a.m daily.

The house-turned-shop-turned-eatery is located on Main Street just west of Goldwater (map) between Grazie and Old Town Tortilla Factory.

The venture brings together some well-known names in the Valley’s F&B community, including Roger Carpenter and Josh Ivey (formerly of Down Under Wines) and James Swann (formerly of Whole Foods Chandler).

The kitchen is headed by Horacio “Lachos” Hernandez (pictured above), who worked for the past 17 years at acclaimed Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix.

Craft64PizzaThe food menu is fairly small. Besides a charcuterie boards and bruschetta, there are five salads ($11) and seven pizzas ($11-$19).

Tiramisu ($8) and Nutella sandwiches ($8) are the only dessert options.

Craft 64 takes its name from the number of ounces in a half-gallon growler of beer.

Only six of 36 beer taps are hooked up so far, but the other 30 have been delivered and will be installed this week. Craft 64 intends to have only Arizona beers on tap.

Some non-Arizona offerings, mostly Belgians and sours, will be available in bottles or cans.

The wine list boasts 28 wines  – 12 white and 16 red – by the glass (starting at $8) or bottle (starting at $30).

An additional 18 are available by bottle only, topped by Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2011 for $250.
