If you’re not familiar with the San Diego brewery’s Solis Occasus IPA, it’s a “dynamic” beer, meaning the recipe changes from batch to batch.
Solis always is hop-forward, bone-dry, and light-colored with an ABV of 7.5%. But different combinations of malts and hops make each batch unique.
Batch 38 was released Feb. 19Â to celebrate the birth of Romani. It used Two Row and 20% white wheat malt for the grist, then was hopped with Meridian, Citra and Cascade for a big citrus flavor and bitterness.
