The 4 things you need to know about Sunday’s ‘Check, Please! Arizona’ Fest

1. Eight’s “Check, Please! Arizona” Festival, inspired by the local PBS show, will take place 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Phoenix CityScape (map).

2. The festival will feature food and drink samples from 26 restaurants that have appeared on the TV show, including a handful from the East Valley (SanTan Brewing, Red White & Brew, The Salt Cellar, and Salerno’s).

3. There will be two cooking demo stages, plus a 1:30 panel with four local James Beard Award winners (Robert McGrath, Christopher Gross, Chris Bianco, and Nobuo Fukuda).

4. Tickets are $79 online or $89 at door (if available; last year’s event sold out) and include all food and drink samples.
