Did you know 1 in 4 children, 1 in 5 adults, and 1 in 7 seniors in Arizona struggle with hunger?

According to United Food Bank, Arizona is tied as the worst state in the U.S. for child hunger and the fifth-worst for food insecurity overall.

Bourbon Jacks Bar and Grill, along with its sibling concept Dos Gringos, is fighting the problem with Dine Out for Donations.

From 11 a.m.-7 p.m. every Wednesday in April, the six restaurants are donating 20% of all sales to local food banks.

Last year the two concepts combined to raise more than $22,000. All you need to do to help is dine at one of their locations on a Wednesday this month.

For the Bourbon Jacks in downtown Chandler, the donations go to Chandler-based Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank.

The Chandler location also is a sponsor of Matthew’s Crossing’s  fourth annual Night to Fight Hunger, which will be held tonight at the Chandler airport.
