The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.
April 30 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Greek Skins:Â Gyros meat, artichokes with feta and kasseri cheese, yogurt dressing.
- Roasted Eggplant Salad: With red peppers, kalamata olives, green chiles, carrots, garbanzos, balsamic vinegar and olive oil (pictured).
- Balsamic Shrimp De Modena:Â Jumbo shrimp, roasted red pepper, hearts of artichoke and palm, roasted garlic, asparagus and capers.
- Mediterranean Paprikash: Ravioli with hearts of palm, scallions, mushrooms, cashew and red bell pepper in paprika cream sauce.
- German’s Chocolate Brownies: Brownies with chocolate and pecans, topped with coconut.
