The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.
May 14 “Taste of Romeo’s” menu:
- Hungarian Mushrooms: Mushrooms caps broiled with garlic, lemon, butter, dill, spicy paprika, and crispy bacon.
- Hellenic Salad: Gyros, feta cheese, yogurt, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and romaine.
- Garlic Chicken Pesto: Chicken breast sautéed with roasted garlic and pine nuts in basil pesto cream.
- Spicy Putanesca: Grilled chicken breast and Italian sausage with sautéed black peppercorns, capers, pine nuts, kalamatas, and scallions in basil-roasted tomato anchovy sauce.
- Chocolate Dipped Florentines
