The festival, which features barrel-aged ales and specialty casks, debuted last summer at Tempe Center for the Performing Arts. It will run 2-6 p.m.
The larger downtown Phoenix venue will:
- Give attendees more elbow room.
- Allow as many as 70 breweries to participate (50+ already have signed up).
- Accommodate more food options.
Most importantly, though, the convention center gives the event room to grow in future years.
The Arizona Craft Brewers Guild, which organizes Real, Wild & Woody, is considering building a regional brewers technical conference around the fest.
Ultimately, the guild would love to host the annual Craft Brewers Conference, one of the industry’s top events.
Tickets for Real, Wild & Woody go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday and are $57, which includes 20 beer samples and small bites from local restaurants and food vendors.
A limited number of designated-driver tickets (good for food only) are available for $25.
You can buy tickets on the festival’s website, but to avoid hefty service charges you should buy them at the Phoenix Convention Box Office (open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays) or by phone (602-262-7272).
Last year’s event sold out.
