The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.
May 21 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Eggplant Capri: Grilled eggplant, tomatoes, smoked fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, EVOO, and balsamic vinegar. Served with foccacia.
- Bleu Caesar Salad: Tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers, and capers tossed with bleu cheese, Italian dressing, homemade croutons, and anchovies.
- Salmon La Scala: Grilled salmon filet with sautéed red peppers, capers and pine nuts.
- Transylvania Chicken: Grilled chicken breast layered with roasted eggplant, roasted peppers, pine nuts, and chilled balsamic beans.
- Mocha Espresso Brownies: Rich chocolate brownies spiked with Greek coffee, Kahluan and walnuts.
