The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.
May 28 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Peppers Spanaki: A sweet bell pepper stuffed with mozzarella, spinach and brown rice, and baked with a tomato sauce.
- Janice’s Kale Salad: Shredded kale, carrots, peppadew peppers, green onions, craisins, mushrooms, and roasted almonds tossed in a creamy honey-Dijon dressing. With herbed goat cheese fritter (made with rice flour).
- Apricot-Dijon Salmon: With grilled tomato and zucchini, mixed greens with a chile paste, scallion oil, zaatar, honey, Sriracha, and rice vinaigrette.
- Pork Molise: Grilled pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon with garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes, honey caramelized onions, and apricot-cherry sauce.
- Flourless Almond Chocolate Cake
