The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.

May 28 “Taste of Romeo’s” menu:

  • Peppers Spanaki: A sweet bell pepper stuffed with mozzarella, spinach and brown rice, and baked with a tomato sauce.
  • Janice’s Kale Salad: Shredded kale, carrots, peppadew peppers, green onions, craisins, mushrooms, and roasted almonds tossed in a creamy honey-Dijon dressing. With herbed goat cheese fritter (made with rice flour).
  • Apricot-Dijon Salmon: With grilled tomato and zucchini, mixed greens with a chile paste, scallion oil, zaatar, honey, Sriracha, and rice vinaigrette.
  • Pork Molise: Grilled pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon with garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes, honey caramelized onions, and apricot-cherry sauce.
  • Flourless Almond Chocolate Cake

Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $27 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
