The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.
June 4 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Artichokes Vinaigrette: Lightly sauteed hearts of artichoke in creamy Dijon vinaigrette. Served with a bread roll.
- Greek Salad: Tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, kalamata olives, and feta cheese in olive oil and red wine vinegar.
- Caper Chicken: Chicken breast sautéed with sun-dried tomato, capers, mushrooms, and zucchini in olive oil and chardonnay.
- Penne Carbonara: Ham and bacon sauteed with red and green bell peppers in creamy cheese sauce with penne pasta.
- Cannolis: Traditional ricotta filling, sweetened and lightened with chocolate chips and fresh orange zest.
