Seems like it’s taken forever, but Pomo Pizzeria Napoletana finally is open in downtown Gilbert.
It joins a row of recently opened eateries – including Zinburger, Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles, and Barrio Queen – at the Heritage Marketplace.
Pomo is one of the Valley’s few VPN-certified pizzerias, meaning its food meets quality standards set by Italian trade association Napoletana Verace Pizza.

The Gilbert location is the fourth in the Valley, joining others in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Glendale.
Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
