Chef Off!, a series of friendly culinary competitions between East Valley chefs, will return for another season on Monday, Aug. 3.
The season-opener, dubbed the “Southwest Standoff,” will pit current champion Romeo Taus of Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert against Anthony Serrano of El Palacio in Chandler.
Each chef will prepare three small plates of food to pair with three beers from The Perch Pub & Brewery in Chandler.
For just $55, diners will get to enjoy all six plates of food and the three beers. They then will vote on which chef is the “winner.”
The triumphant chef will go on to face the next challenger in the series. Dinners are held every 6-8 weeks.
