The monthly dinners, which start at 6:30 p.m., feature three new dishes from the creative kitchen crew paired with three wines selected by the knowledgable waitstaff at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in downtown Gilbert.
July 21 “3rd Tuesday†menu:
- 1st course: Feta & Feta (porcini mushroom, caramelized onions, and feta cheese on open-faced pastry puff, with mixed green salad with watermelon, prosciutto, daikon radish, red onion, feta, and serrano-honey-lime dressing), paired with 2012 Vinum Cellars Rose of Cabernet Sauvignon
- 2nd course: Pork & Figs (roasted pork tenderloin, sweet potatoes, cauliflower puree, apples, fresh figs, green peppercorns, Calvados cream sauce, pickled red onions – pictured), paired with 2013 Punto Final Malbec Clasico
- 3rd course: The Mayor (fudgy dark chocolate cake, finished with a Marion berry liqueur sauce), paired with 2011 Vigilance Petite Sirah
