The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, typically highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.

Aug. 13 “Taste of Romeo’s” menu:

  • Romeo’s Choice Skins: Italian sausage, onions, peppers, and mushrooms covered in melted provolone. Served with yogurt dressing.
  • Broiled Chicken Salad: Grilled chicken tossed with artichokes, roasted red peppers, black olives, green onions, and walnuts with a lemon mustard sauce.
  • Chicken Ziti (pictured): Artichoke hearts, onions, chicken, and ziti noodles baked in creamy ricotta sauce and topped with provolone.
  • Milanesa: Lightly breaded pork cutlets with garlic-horseradish mashed potatoes, roasted pepper-garlic jardinière, and lemon wedges.
  • Tiramisu: European ladyfingers soaked in espresso and layered with fresh mascarpone cheese.

Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $27 per person plus tax and tip. Add five wine tastes for $10. RSVP: 480-962-4224.
