La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen in Gilbert will hold its third annual Hatch Chile Festival from Aug. 28-30.
Every year, restaurant staffers travel to Hatch, N.M., to pick up their own chiles, which they then roast for three days at the restaurant.
You can order your own 25-pound sack of chiles for $45 ($40 if you’re a member of La Ristra’s Agave Club).
Orders must be placed by Aug. 23 by calling the restaurant at 480-545-2880.
Besides the chile-roasting, the Hatch Chile Festival will feature food and drink specials, live music, and a Santa Fe Brewing tap takeover.
