The weekly five-course dinners, hosted by chef Romeo Taus and his wife, Janice, in a private dining room, typically highlight a rotating selection from the regular menu at Romeo’s Euro Cafe in Gilbert.
Aug. 20 “Taste of Romeo’s†menu:
- Spicy Lamb Potatoes:Â Gyros meat and potatoes with herbs and spices. Hand-formed and deep fried.
- Ravioli Salad: Deep-fried cheese ravioli with black olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, Genoa salami, hearts of palm, peas, and red onions in mustard-vinaigrette dressing.
- Chicken Bleu: No description available.
- Spicy Putanesca: Grilled chicken breast and Italian sausage with sautéed black peppercorns, capers, pine nuts, kalamatas, scallions, and roasted garlic in tomato anchovy sauce.
- Euro Delight (pictured): Moist black cake soaked with Kahlua and filled with a tangy chocolate Kahlua crème fraiche mousse
covered in chocolate whipped cream.
