Mimita’s Cuban Cafe, a well-regarded restaurant on the southwest corner of Arizona and Warner in Chandler, apparently has closed.
No notice is posted on the door and the tables and chairs are still in place, but Mimata’s has been dark for two weeks. Its Facebook page has not been updated in months.
It certainly doesn’t look good for East Valley fans of Cuban cuisine.
Mimita’s opened in 2009 and has averaged four stars in 133 reviews on Yelp. It was featured last year on the TV show ‘‘Check, Please! Arizona.’’
