7 things you need to know about the Rockin’ Taco Street Fest at El Palacio on Saturday

1. The fourth annual Rockin’ Taco Street Fest will take place 4-10 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of El Palacio Mexican Restaurant on the northwest corner of Gilbert and Germann in Chandler.

2. Taco-related activities will include a taco-eating contest; a taco throwdown between El Palacio, Elmer’s Tacos, and La Canasta; and a variety of street tacos for purchase.

3. Non-taco activities will include a salsa competition, a margarita hut, a sand bar, tequila tastings, vendors, beach-themed games, and a water slide.

4. There will be steel drum music from 4-6 p.m., reggae from 6-8, and a DJ from 8-10.

5. One festival-goer will win a raffle for a trip for two to Ensenada, Mexico.

6. Admission will be $5, which includes a raffle ticket but not food and drink. Children 12 and under are free.

7. Anyone who spends $25 at El Palacio this week will receive two free admissions to the fest.
