Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row opens 2nd Valley location in downtown Tempe

Although the official grand opening isn’t until 5 p.m. Thursday, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row already has opened in the former Robbie Fox Public House space on the southwest corner of Mill and Sixth in downtown Tempe.

It’s the second location for the concept, named for the country music star and Valley native. The first opened in downtown Scottsdale in 2013. A third location is in the works in downtown Gilbert.

“I couldn’t be happier about opening our second Whiskey Row location in Tempe,” Bentley says. “I grew up going to a lot of great bars and restaurants on Mill Avenue and I’m really excited about bringing my own concept to the area.’’

Chef Samantha Roberts has crafted a gastropub-inspired menu with modern twists, including Picnic Chicken Sliders, Mac & Cheese Burgers, and Maple Ice Cream French Toast.

Whiskey Row has 50-plus beers on tap and a selection of signature cocktails. Happy hour ($3 domestic pints, $4 well, $5 wine, and $5 apps) is 3-6 p.m. weekdays in the restaurant’s bar.

Similar to the nearby Yard at Farmers Art District, a back porch-style playground will have corn hole, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, 55 televisions, and more.

Thursday’s grand opening, which is open to the public, will feature a performance by Nashville-based country rockers Parmalee.
