BJ’s and Huss are among four Arizona breweries that won medals over the weekend at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver:

• Magnolia Peach from BJ’s in Chandler won the gold medal for fruit wheat beer.

• The Husstler from Huss in Tempe won the bronze medal for sweet or cream stout.

• R&R Oatmeal Stout from Beaver Street in Flagstaff won the gold medal for oatmeal stout.

• Barrio Rojo from Barrio in Tucson won the bronze medal for Scottish-style ale.

GABF is the world’s largest commercial beer competition. This year, 1,552 breweries entered a record 6,647 beers in 92 style categories. See the full list of medalists here.
