Pieology, a California-based chain of pizzerias, has opened its first East Valley location on the northwest corner of the 101 and Chandler Boulevard in Chandler.

The fast-casual concept lets customers build their own 11.5-inch, thin-crust pizzas with “unlimited toppings” for $8. Think Chipotle, but with pizza.

Pieology is just the latest BYO pizza chain to enter the Valley market. Other recent newcomers include fast-expanding MOD Pizza, which started in Seattle, and Valley-based Fired Pie.

Pieology’s first Arizona location opened in Tucson last year, and a second opened in the West Valley earlier this year.

Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
