The Casual Pint, a fast-growing chain of craft beer bar and markets based out of Knoxville, Tenn., will open its first Arizona location in Chandler this spring.

Each store offers hundreds of bottled beers as well as an ever-changing roster of beers on tap for tasting in a dedicated bar area or taking home in growlers.

To get an idea of the concept (the downtown Knoxville location is pictured above), think The Watering Hole bar and the beer retail shelves at Whole Foods Chandler without the other groceries and food court.

The first Casual Pint opened in Knoxville in 2011 and began franchising in 2013. The chain now has 10 locations in Tennessee and another opening in Ohio.

“Our move into Arizona marks just the beginning of The Casual Pint’s western expansion,” company president Nathan Robinette says.

Promising a commitment to local beers, he adds, ‘‘Because of the countless breweries in the area, the hardest choice for Chandler craft beer enthusiasts will be which beer they’d like to try first.’’

Local owners Chad and Amy Eby signed their franchise agreement in August and are focused on sites in the Ocotillo area of south Chandler.

“Chad and I knew we had to become a part of this burgeoning craft beer community,” Amy Eby says. ‘‘This strategic career move allows us to take part in a hobby we love while also pursuing our dream of owning our own business.”

The Ebys hope to get The Casual Pint in Chandler open by late spring.
