Oregon-based Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill, a chain of English-themed tavern/sports bar hybrids, will open its third Arizona location at SanTan Village in Gilbert in March.
It will be located south across the street from Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que and just north of Gordon Biersch.
Thirsty Lion made its Arizona debut at Tempe Marketplace (taking over the former Maria Maria) in 2011. It added a Scottsdale Fashion Square location in late 2014.
Thirsty Lion has a large menu focusing on burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas. The bar offers a large number of beers on tap (52 in Tempe), 25 wines by the glass, and 26 specialty cocktails.
