Skip & Jan’s Sports Bar, a popular south Tempe sports bar and pool hall that closed in May, has reopened on the northeast corner of McQueen and Warner in Gilbert.
The former First Round Draft, which closed in 2013, has been completely gutted, reconfigured, and refurbished. It’s been divided into two areas – a sports bar (pictured above) and a pool room (shown below).
The menu hasn’t changed much from the former Tempe location. It’s typical sports bar fare for lunch and dinner, as well as all-day breakfast every day.
There are 10 large TVs in the bar area to watch sports and seven in the pool room.
The bar area has two quarter-operated pool tables. The pool room has 16 pool tables available by the hour. Rental is $5 per person per hour, but there’s a $10-per-hour maximum (meaning a threesome or foursome would only pay $10).
Skip & Jan’s is open 11 a.m.-2 a.m. daily (10 a.m. Sundays during NFL season).
