Hanger 24 will be the featured brewery for this month’s Beer & Bacon Night, which takes place 5-9 p.m. Thursday at The Hungry Monk in Chandler.
Beers from the Redlands, Calif., brewery that will be on tap:
- Betty IPA
- Double IPA
- Orange Wheat
- Chocolate Porter
- Warmer
- Hullabaloo Winter Beer
- Pugachev’s Cobra Russian Imperial Stout
The big draw is the Pugachev’s Cobra, which will be tapped at 5 p.m. and sold in 10-ounce pours for $8.
Warmer, part of Hanger 24’s Local Fields Series, won a gold medal at the 2012 World Beer Cup and the 2013 GABF.
You can get a sampler of six of the beers (all except Pugachev’s Cobra) for $12.
Beef chef Gidi Goldberg has created five special bacon-centric menu items for the evening:
- Three smoked pork belly egg rolls with soy-ginger dipping sauce ($8.50)
- 10 bone-in wings tossed in a warm bacon-bourbon glaze ($9.50)
- Bacon Alfredo flatbread with beer-braised onions, Roma tomato, and pesto drizzle ($10)
- California Pig Club panini with bacon, pancetta, and turkey on pressed sourdough ($10)
- Chocolate Porter bacon brownies with vanilla ice cream and candied bacon ($8)
The Hungry Monk holds Beer & Bacon Night on the second Thursday of every month. The brewery for January will be Smuttynose.
