Flanny’s Bar & Grill in Tempe will host an Arizona launch party for Boulevard Brewing from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
The Kansas City brewery opened in 1989 and grew into one of the Midwest’s largest independents before it was acquired by Belgian giant Duvel Moortgat for an estimated $100 million-plus in 2013.
(Craft beer fans will recall Duvel Moortgat made headlines again last summer by acquiring a stake in Firestone Walker from Paso Robles, Calif.)
Arizona is just one of six new states Boulevard is entering after the first of the year, bringing its distribution up to 33 states and the District of Columbia.
The tap list for Flanny’s launch party:
- KC Pils Premium American Lager
- Nutcracker Ale Winter Specialty
- Rye on Rye (Smokestack Series)
- Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale
