Something new is brewing at Sleepy Dog: The Tempe taproom will begin serving food in January.
‘‘We have wanted to do this for a while now, but wanted to make sure we could do it right,’’ says brewery co-owner Matt Weber. ‘‘Over the last few months we have worked very hard to craft the right menu that complements our tasting room and our handcrafted beers.
‘‘With the help of local chefs and industry friends, we feel we have a created a perfect food introduction to build on.’’
The brewery opened in 2009. Its popular beers include Red Rover Irish Ale and Wet Snout Milk Stout.
‘‘Since we opened our focus has always been production, so finding the right chef and menu was crucial to pulling the trigger, and we’ve done just that,’’ Weber says. ‘‘We are excited for the launch of Sleepy Dog 2.0.â€
