Cactus Moon Sports Grill, the large sports bar and billiards hall at Mesa Riverview, has closed its doors after five years.
It’s the second straight year the northwest Mesa open-air shopping center has lost a major food-and-drink destination. Cactus Moon’s neighbor, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, closed in October 2014 after a five-year run.
Cactus Moon’s owners, however, aren’t leaving Riverview. They’re about to open a new, smaller concept called Flips Burgers & Brews in the space that formerly housed Volcano Buffet.
