Wednesday: Brazilian wine dinner at JC’s Steakhouse in Gilbert

JC’s Steakhouse in Gilbert will hold its monthly wine tasting at 7 p.m. Wednesday. This month’s focus will be on Brazilian wines.

The food-and-wine pairings:

  • Callia Alta Torrentés paired with Brazilian black-eyed pea shrimp fritters.
  • Macaw Tannat paired with feijoada (black bean stew) and pão de queijo (cheese bread).
  • Macaw Merlot served with churrasco (grilled beef) with chimichurri sauce and Brazilian rice.
  • Macaw Moscato served with maracujá (passion fruit) mousse cake.
