Café Lalibela, the critically acclaimed Ethiopian eatery in Tempe, will open Lalibela Market on Friday.
The 400-square-foot market, located next door to the cafe, will sell Ethiopian spices, teas, jewelry, crafts, and grab-and-go beverages.
The grand-opening weekend will include:
- Giveaways like free small samples of spices to the first 50 guests
- Buy-one-get-one grab-and-go items from the Lalibela line
- All-day tasting samples served up Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Market hours will be 10 a.m.-9 p.m. weekdays, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.
Café Lalibela and Lalibela Market are located on the southeast corner of Hardy and University.
Café Lalibela food products (pictured) also are sold at Whole Foods Markets.
